deviled egg

Based on wikipedia Deviled eggs (US) or devilled eggs (UK) or eggs mimosa are hard-boiled eggs, shelled, cut in half, and filled with the hard-boiled egg's yolk mixed with other ingredients such as mayonnaise and mustard, but many other variants exist internationally. Deviled eggs are usually served cold. They are served as a side dish, appetizer or a main course, and are a common holiday or party food. I am telling my self lets go get all the cholesterol this weekend and jogging tomorrow lol

ingredients:
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • a pinch of salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • Garnish: paprika and chopped scallion

Direction:
  1. Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with enough water that there's 1 1/2 inches of water above the eggs. Heat on high until water begins to boil, then cover, turn the heat to low, and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Drain immediately and fill the saucepan with cold water and ice. Crack egg shells and carefully peel under cool running water.
  3. Slice eggs in half lengthwise, and carefully remove yolks.
  4. Mash yolks with mayonnaise. Add mustard, salt, and pepper; stir well.
  5. Spoon yolk mixture into egg whites.
  6. Garnish, if desired.
