jiaozi 饺子

omg, i love it so much. i think i can eat at least 20 jiaozi in one serving :) hehehheheheh ive mastered how to make the dumpling dough now!!! im just using high protein flour (bread flour) and water . thats all . the comparison is if the flour is 100 gr then the water (tap water) is 50 ml. it could make 10 pcs regular jiaozi. i usually make 50 pcs . so, i need 500 gr flour and 250 ml water. hehehhehe

whats jiaozi? whats dumpling? is it the same???? ahahahhaha i guess you all confused!!! here its what wikipedia says Jiǎozi (simplified Chinese饺子traditional Chinese餃子)  is a Chinese dumpling widely spread to Nepal, Japan, Eastern and Western Asia. Jiaozi typically consists of a ground meat and/or vegetable filling wrapped into a thinly rolled piece of dough, which is then sealed by pressing the edges together or by crimping. Jiaozi should not be confused with wonton; jiaozi has a thicker skin and a relatively flatter, more oblate, double-saucer like shape (similar in shape to ravioli), and is usually eaten with a soy-vinegar dipping sauce (and/or hot chili sauce); while wontons have thinner skin, have square skins, and are usually served in broth. The dough for the jiaozi and wonton wrapper also consist of different ingredients.
Chinese dumplings (jiaozi) may be divided into various types depending on how they are cooked:
  1. Boiled dumplings: (shuijiao) literally "water dumpling" (水餃; pinyin: shuǐjiǎo).
  2. Steamed dumplings: (zhengjiao) literally "steam dumpling" (蒸餃; pinyin: zhēngjiǎo).
  3. Pan fried dumplings: (guotie) literally "pan stick", known as "potstickers" in N. America, (鍋貼; pinyin: guōtiē), also referred to as "dry-fried dumplings" (煎餃; pinyin:jiānjiǎo).
as you can see , i made zhengjiao :D lets get start it !!!
ingredients:
  • 500g  bread flour
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 250 ml water
filling
  • 500g minced beef
  • 350 gr Chinese leaf, chopped
  • about 6-7 stalks of spring onion (scallion)
  • 2 tbsp of light soy
  • 2 tsp of sesame oil
  • 2 tsp of cornstarch
  • salt and pepper
garnish
  • some chopped spring onion
  • some sesame oil

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce

avacado and chicken sandwich

what a hearty breakfast we have here :) 3 components:
  • warm bread
  • fresh avocado & tomatoes
  • grilled breast chicken
yep that’s all . If you want to impress ur boyfriend by cooking good breakfast , u def have to try it :D all you need to do is sizzle some olive oil to the bread and just reheat it at pan ,so the bread will be warm and crusty.  Now move on to the chicken, this is what i love to do when i grill my chicken maybe because im asian i love sesame oil soooo much , so i just put 2:1 sesame oil and soy sauce and a bit of pepper then coat the chicken into the mixture or better to leave it to the refrigerator for 30 mins then grill it .

now, u just have to stack the bread , avocado , tomatoes and chicken :D that’s all . Its really really a good combination for sandwich , sooooooo good coz the bread is sooo crusty but then the avacado is buttery , the tomatoes give a sweet-acid feel then the chicken is just tasty and moist . damnnnn describing this makes me want to make one for me :D good luck try it at home!

pajeon

holla !!! another korean recipe of the month from beloved Maangchi :DDDDD it looks sooooooooo good right only from the picture? :D what is pajeon? based on wikipedia Pajeon is a variety of jeon (pancake) with green onions as its prominent ingredient, as pa literally means 'green/spring onion' in Korean. It is a pancake-like Korean dish made from a batter of eggs, wheat flour, rice flour, green onions, and often other additional ingredients depending on the variety. Beef, pork, kimchi, shellfish, and other seafood are mostly used. its type of snack for korean people. i used to see it in every korean drama that i watch :D

baguette sandwich

have u ever tried sandwich made from baguette? it is soooooooooo good , right?  its more crusty and more filing for me hahhahhahahhaha actually this is a simple dish . the key is to sizzle olive oil to the baguette and reheat it at the pan (both side) the baguette will turn so crusty and there is nothing bad about a warm bread hahhahah

move to the filling . well, ofc fresh veggies , onion , and a choice of protein u like . in this one, i use only smoked beef which i stir fry along with onion ahhahahhahah thats all . the dressing well im so lazy so i just use mayo and tomato sauce :D thats all ? yes! thats all <3333333 now u now what to make for ur family this sunday for breakfast !!!!
