fav sandwich!

In this blog post, lemme tell you about my favorite sandwich! My favorite sandwich is all related to avocados. Avocados for me are the vegan version of butter. I love the texture when you combine it with crusty bread. The very basic sandwiches will probably avocados with chili flakes. This is so amazing. I probably already eat this a million times in my whole life. I never thought that I am gonna make a blog post about it considering it’s just a pretty basic food I have at home.

Now the basic is already been revealed, it is all up to what I have in refrigerator. It could be chicken, egg, shrimp, or any other protein. I will add it to the top of the avocados hehehhe Isn’t easy to make sandwich? Well, at least it is easy to make my favorite sandwich! So, until next time ~

shrimp fried rice

Seems like I don’t know what to cook anymore. I have no inspiration lately. So I just made this shrimp fried rice for lunch ehehhehe I don’t think I will breakdown the recipe because it’s just the usual ingredients that I always use. Stir fry garlic, shallot and chillies in sesame oil. Add the garlic, salt and pepper. Add the rice. That is all. Every Indonesian can cook this recipe because it is super easy hehehhe
Until next time~

mushroom, broccoli and cheese spaghetti

This is what I eat with my nephew for this past few days lol what a bad aunty. I made him instant food because my sister is giving birth to another child. So I have to take care of my nephew and feed him. I see that I have instant marinara sauce and cream cheese in the refrigerator. So, I just bought fresh mushroom, broccoli  and wheat spaghetti.

All I have to do is cook the spaghetti as usual. While the spaghetti is cooking, I chopped 1:2 combinations of garlic and onion. With another pan, I melt the butter, add the garlic+onion until the fragrance is coming out. Then I add chopped mushroom and broccoli. Cook it until the mushroom is softer. Don’t forget to add salt and pepper then I  add the marinara sauce. That’s it.
Just serve the spaghetti with the mixture of mushroom and marinara sauce, top it with cream cheese. it is so easy and so yummy. Nom nom nom

my favorite weekend breakfast

In this blog post, I will share to all of you my favorite weekend breakfast. It’s a warm oats with lots of fruits and honey. All I do is boil 2 cups of almond milk and add 1 cup of oats. Add a pinch of salt. Cook it until the milk is absorbed by the oats. Serve with honey and fruits that available. I usually made my milk coffee too to accompany this bowl of amazingness and watch some Korean drama while enjoying it. what is your favorite weekend breakfast? tell me ;)

tuna sandwich

I hate tuna before ! but I found a salad bar near my office that makes a mean tuna salad. nom nom nom!!!! just like you know, i always try to find the recipe so i can make my own at home hehehehhehe so, i decided (as always) to find Laura Vitale's youtube channel and gonna try it at home! it's actually really simple OMG . lets get started :D i didnt use celery and tomatoes in this recipe cause i didnt have it at that time.

 ingredients:
  • 1 cans of tuna packed in water, drained
  • 1 whole finely chopped onion
  • 100 gr mayo or more (depends what you like)
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp red vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • toasted bread
  • lettuce

thumprint cookies

I was actually using this recipe from youtube click! and i added a sugar glaze on the top after i baked them. I changed also the raspberry jam with strawberry jam. If you open the link and just follow the recipe, you will be fine. It's not a difficult recipe :) Once cookies are cool, make the glaze: Whisk together powdered sugar and lemon juice in a bowl. Using a piping bag i just made a zig zag kinda line on the top of the cookies. Place cookie back on cooling rack and allow it to sit until glaze sets.

shrimp noodle

This is what i like to cook in Ramadan for a full meal. either its rice or noodle. It's just too easy to cook this dish at busy Ramadan. Keep in mind that this is happening in Ramadan lol so I don't use fresh produce lol imagine waking up at 3 am to cook for suhoor or cook for iftar in less than 30 minutes after rushing going home from my office. This is the most delicious, instant yet fulfilling dish you can eat.

Ingredients
  • 10 ounces noodles
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 shallots
  • 5 chillies
  • 1 inch piece of ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Juice of 1 lime or lemon
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoons sesame oil, plus more for drizzling (optional)
  • 1/2 pound frozen shrimp
  • frozen veggies as much as you want
  • salt and pepper

steamed eggs

  • 6 oz water
  • sesame oil
  • pinch of salt
  • green onion and sesame seeds for garnishing
  • soy sauce

nutella pisang cokelat

It's a perfect snack for iftar :) and its super easy to make. 30 minutes before Maghrib, you can make this. So, its still hot when you eat it. Basically all you need to have is:
  1. lumpia skins
  2. nutella
  3. peanut butter
  4. banana
  5. frying oil
peel those bananas open and then place it inside the lumpia skin along with lots of nutella and peanut butter then brush each corner of the wrapper with a little bit of water then bring the two opposite corners on the sides together and, keeping your finger on those edges, bring the bottom corner towards the middle and then roll the pastry up tightly towards the top corner. Tuck the top edge in and seal it then deep fry it. That's all. Isn't it easy :)

chicken sandwich

Look at this baby :O It's a very fulfilling breakfast oh.my.god. but surprise surprise it only takes 15 minutes to make it. You are curious, right?

Let's get started!
  1. Season chicken breast with salt and pepper then leave it in the refrigerator.
  2. Now, wash the veggies (lettuce and tomatoes).
  3. And then prepare the cheese.
  4. Now, toast the bread with olive oil or butter or margarine. you can use toaster or oven.
  5. Meanwhile, in a bowl make a batter of 1 egg, 1 tbsp cornstarch, 2 tbsp flour, a pinch of salt and freshly grounded pepper. mix it.
  6. Add water (until it becomes a lumpy batter). be careful not too make it too runny.
  7. Now, coat the chicken with the batter. and deep fry it. I prefer double coating (after its golden, i dip it again to the batter and then deep fry it again). This way the chicken will have a crispy skin.
  8. Serve it like a normal person would like to eat sandwich hehhehe bread, lettuce, cheese, chicken, mayo, tomato sauce then bread again.
  9. And now you are done and you will have the easiest and the most delicious chicken sandwich you ever had!
see ya later :)

Ok guys. That's it for this post. Hope you all have the courage to try this recipe.  Don't discourage because of the color. It's not that spicy plus its perfect for the season.
