bolu tape / fermented casasava pound cake


lol im such a genius baker lololol my step sister is living at different city with me. and one of the the famous thing in her city is fermented cassava or tape or peyeum . and im sick of her giving me this thing lolololol im kidding :pp i decided to turn it into some cake and tadaaaa everyone love it . thank God, i had enough w/ fermented cassava lol

ingredients:
  • 200 grams of fermented cassava 
  • 250 grams of cake flour 
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  •  250 grams of margarine 
  • 175 grams of powdered sugar
  •  5 eggs (room temperature) 
  • 50 ml milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

directions:
  1. Sift flour, cornstarch and baking powder. Set aside. 
  2. Prepare a round baking pan, spread a lil bit margarine so the cake wont be sticky to the pan. Set aside. 
  3. beat margarine and powdered sugar until smooth 
  4. Add the eggs one at a time.
  5. add the fermented cassava 
  6. Then add as well the flour, cornstarch and baking powder that has been sifted before. Beat until fluffy
  7. alternate with the milk and beat until incorporated 
  8. Pour the finished batter into a round baking pan that has been spread with margarine.
  9.  Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes or until cooked.
