ohoyyyy. its my two fav korean dishes. i think i make hobakjeon 10 times already in my life. TBH, i don't really like jajangmyeon instant bc it has no meat on it lol so, usually i buy the package for the sauce and adding meats onto it :D ive tried these dishes in Korean restaurant and thinking hmmm this is a nice dish esp hobakjeon , i feel like snacking it with sauce when im watching korean drama :D hahahahhaha here we go!!!! first lets make jajangmyon :)
ingredients
- 1 package of jjajangmyeon noodles
- 1/2 pound of tenderloin meat , cut into 1/2 inch cubes
- 1/2 cup of daikon, cut into ½ inch cubes
- 1/2 cup of zucchini, cut into ½ inch cubes
- 1/2 cup of potato, peeled and cut into ½ inch cubes
- 1 cups of onion chunks
- 3 Tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
- ½ cup cucumber, cut into thin matchsticks for garnish
Directions:
- Stir-fry
the beef with 1 Tablespoon of vegetable oil
for about 4-5 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
- Add radish and stir fry for 1 minute.
- Add potato, onion, and zucchini and keep stirring for about 3 minutes until the potato looks a little translucent.
- add the liquid sauce from the package. stir it .
- Add the sesame oil and remove from the heat.
- Serve with noodles
- garnish with sliced cucumber
now for hobakjeon recipe :) all you need is zucchini, fluor and eggs. thats it.
- Cut zucchini into 1/4 inch slices and lay them in layers in a huge plate.
- Lightly sprinkle the cut zucchini slices with good quality sea salt. both of the sides.
- Leave them for 5-7 minutes so that they become slightly pickled.
- In the same time, prepare the flour in a bowl and whisk one egg into another bowl and add a pinch of salt to the egg.
- Coat the zucchini slices with flour on both sides and set aside.
- Now you are ready to cook the Hobakjeon.
- Heat about 2 Tbsp of vegetable in a large frying pan
- Dip each floured zucchini piece into the egg, coat it fully and then put it in the frying pan.
- When the edges start to brown, turn them over.and cook them until both of the sides are having a nice golden brown color
- i suggest you to make some dipping sauce by mixing soy sauce and vinegar together. just the simple one by combining 2 tbsp of soy sauce and 1 tbsp of rice vinegar and lots of roasted sesame seeds.yummmmyyyyyyyyy
