jajangmyon + hobakjeon

ohoyyyy. its my two fav korean dishes. i think i make hobakjeon 10 times already in my life. TBH, i don't really like jajangmyeon instant bc it has no meat on it lol so, usually i buy the package for the sauce and adding meats onto it :D ive tried these dishes in Korean restaurant and thinking hmmm this is a nice dish esp hobakjeon , i feel like snacking it with sauce when im watching korean drama :D hahahahhaha here we go!!!! first lets make jajangmyon :)

ingredients
  • 1 package of jjajangmyeon noodles
  • 1/2 pound of tenderloin meat , cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup of  daikon, cut into ½ inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup of zucchini, cut into ½ inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup of potato, peeled and cut into ½ inch cubes
  • 1 cups of onion chunks
  • 3 Tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • ½ cup cucumber, cut into thin matchsticks for garnish

Directions:
  1. Stir-fry the beef with 1 Tablespoon of vegetable oil for about 4-5 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
  2. Add radish and stir fry for 1 minute.
  3. Add potato, onion, and zucchini and keep stirring for about 3 minutes until the potato looks a little translucent.
  4. add the liquid sauce from the package. stir it .
  5. Add the sesame oil and remove from the heat.
  6. Serve with noodles
  7. garnish with sliced cucumber
now for hobakjeon recipe :)  all you need is zucchini, fluor and eggs. thats it.
  1. Cut zucchini into 1/4 inch slices and lay them in layers in a huge plate.
  2. Lightly sprinkle the cut zucchini slices with good quality sea salt. both of the sides.
  3. Leave them for 5-7 minutes so that they become slightly pickled.
  4. In the same time, prepare the flour in a bowl and whisk one egg into another bowl and add a pinch of salt to the egg.
  5. Coat the zucchini slices with flour on both sides and set aside.
  6. Now you are ready to cook the Hobakjeon.
  7. Heat about 2 Tbsp of vegetable  in a large frying pan
  8. Dip each floured zucchini piece into the egg, coat it fully and then put it in the frying pan.
  9. When the edges start to brown, turn them over.and cook them until both of the sides are having a nice golden brown color
  10. i suggest you to make some dipping sauce by mixing soy sauce and vinegar together. just the simple one by combining 2 tbsp of soy sauce and 1 tbsp of rice vinegar and lots of roasted sesame seeds.yummmmyyyyyyyyy
