kimchi jeon

Based on wikipedia, kimchi jeon is a variety of jeon, or Korean pancake-like dish, primarily made with sliced kimchi, flour batter and sometimes other vegetables. Kimchi jeon is often recognized in Korean culture as a folk dish of low profile that anyone could make easily at home with no extra budget. It is usually served as an appetizer, snack or banchan (side dish).

lets just start it ! i cant wait lol

  • 100 gr Kimchi
  • 1 tbsp onion
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • vegetable oil
  1. In a bowl, place 100 gr of chopped kimchi, 1 tbs chopped onion, salt, 2 tbsp flour, and water (its kinda hard to tell bc i measure with eyes and feeling lol ) until it becomes a fluffy mixture you know, when u are about to make a cake. got it, yes?
  2. just mix it well with a spoon.
  3. Heat up a non-stick pan over medium high heat and drizzle about 2 tbs of veggies oil
  4. Place the mixture of kimchi pancake batter on the pan and spread it thinly and evenly with a spoon.
  5. Cook it for 1-1 ½ minutes until the bottom gets golden brown and crispy.
  6. Turn it over with a spatula or flip it.
  7. cook until both side are ready
  8. serve
